Fyffe varsity Volleyball
Fyffe Volleyball team exemplifies how different talented girls come together to achieve their goals and develop new friendships. Each girl who has played volleyball at Fyffe will tell you that they have made new friends and developed strong relationships. These relationships help to develop a team and Fyffe does the best at creating great quality teams. Our team has worked hard under our coach Brandi Rowell to achieve our goals.
Brandi Rowell is a strong leader who teaches her players to never give up and always give 110% of themselves on and
off the court. Coach Rowell also works with the team to work together to accomplish their goals. If one person does not carry their weight and give all they have on the court, the whole team will be unsuccessful.
One practice Coach Rowell carried a big blue container into the gym for practice. All the players looked inside the container to find a bunch of rocks inside. She told each player to grab a rock in their hand. She told one person to put their rock in the container and everyone run a lap around the gym. Then another person added their rock and everyone ran around the gym for a second lap. This process continued through fifteen players. When it reached the last person the team noticed their teammate struggling and helped carry a part of the container making it easier for the person to carry it. At the end, Coach Rowell told the players that teamwork is crutial in the game of volleyball. Every person must carry their own weight and do their job to be a successful team. This practice taught the team a great lesson not just about volleyball but about how they should continue to act throughout their lives. In the future, men and women must work together in a job to accomplish success for a company. The athletes at Fyffe are well prepared for the future thanks to all of its great coaches and parents and faculty.
